The Global Human Rights Centre London is pleased to invite fashion experts, visionaries, scholars, industry experts, students, activists, academics and non academics, thought leaders from around the world to presence or audience participate at the Global Summit on Ethical Fashion, Sustainability and the Environment.
This groundbreaking three-day virtual conference will bring together interdisciplinary people to address the critical need for sustainable and ethical future in the fashion industry.
The fashion sector is one of the world’s largest polluters, contributing significantly to environmental degradation and social inequality. With the global call for sustainable development becoming more urgent, transforming the fashion industry is now a critical global priority. A central focus of the summit will be to critically examine the role of fast fashion and global supply chains in climate change. These sectors account for approximately 10% of global carbon emissions, 20% of industrial water pollution, and play a major role in driving greenhouse gas emissions (Stand. Earth, 2022). We will explore these challenges while showcasing innovative, actionable solutions that aim to reduce the environmental footprint of the fashion industry.
