We are seeking an individual passionate about advancing human rights in fashion and holding violators accountable. The individual will a be very involved in all areas, press briefing, organizing workshops and seminars, planning and executing the International Conference on Sustainability in Fashion, Human Rights and Climate Change and the Re-Wear Clothes Match. Since it is a non-salaried position, we will cover travel and miscellaneous expenses.

Role Purpose

The Director of Consultancy & Advisory Services will lead the development and growth of GHRC’s consultancy and advisory portfolio.

The role will focus on identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting organisations to integrate human rights, sustainability, responsible business practices, and governance principles into their policies, operations, and strategies.

The successful candidate will help position GHRC as a trusted advisory partner for businesses, governments, institutions, and organisations seeking expertise in human rights and sustainable development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow GHRC’s consultancy and advisory services.
  • Identify and pursue consultancy, training, advisory, and commissioned research opportunities.
  • Build relationships with corporate, government, academic, and institutional partners.
  • Support the development of proposals, service offerings, and client engagement strategies.
  • Translate GHRC’s research expertise into practical advisory solutions.
  • Collaborate with GHRC leadership and experts to deliver high-quality consultancy projects.
  • Develop partnerships that create sustainable income streams for GHRC.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • Demonstrable experience in consultancy, advisory services, business development, or strategic partnerships.
  • Experience securing and managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of human rights, sustainability, ESG, governance, or international development.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into impactful engagements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with businesses, governments, NGOs, universities, or international organisations is desirable.

 

Compensation Structure

This is a commission-based engagement designed for an experienced professional who can generate and develop consultancy opportunities.

Compensation will include:

  • Commission on consultancy contracts and advisory engagements secured.
  • Performance-based incentives linked to revenue generated.
  • Opportunity to build and lead GHRC’s consultancy portfolio as the organisation grows.

The compensation structure will be agreed transparently based on the scope of engagement and contribution to successful business development outcomes.

As GHRC continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Head of Partnerships & Fundraising to strengthen institutional relationships, expand funding opportunities, and support the Centre’s long-term sustainability and policy impact.

Role Purpose

The Head of Partnerships & Fundraising will lead GHRC’s partnership development and resource mobilisation strategy.

The role will focus on identifying opportunities that support GHRC’s research, policy initiatives, advocacy work, and programmes while building relationships with funders, institutions, and strategic partners.

The successful candidate will help position GHRC as a credible policy voice on human rights, climate justice, responsible business, sustainable development, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop funding opportunities aligned with GHRC’s policy priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Build relationships with foundations, philanthropic organisations, governments, international organisations, universities, civil society organisations, and responsible businesses.
  • Develop and support high-quality funding applications, partnership proposals, and institutional collaborations.
  • Identify opportunities for GHRC to contribute to policy discussions, consultations, research partnerships, and governance initiatives.
  • Support the expansion of GHRC’s global network and institutional partnerships.
  • Work with the Executive Director and programme team to translate GHRC’s expertise and research into impactful partnerships and funded initiatives.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual with experience in:

  • Strategic partnerships, fundraising, institutional development, or resource mobilisation.
  • Developing relationships across philanthropy, government, academia, civil society, or private sector.
  • Human rights, sustainability, climate action, international development, governance, ESG, or related fields.
  • Proposal development, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building.

The ideal candidate will understand how policy organisations build influence, develop strategic alliances, and convert expertise into meaningful impact.

Compensation Structure

This role is designed as a flexible, performance-based engagement.

 

Compensation will include:

  • A fixed fee per successful funding application outcome (agreed based on scope and complexity).
  • A bonus for successfully securing:
    • unrestricted organisational funding;
    • sponsorship agreements;
    • strategic partnerships;
    • commercial collaborations;
    • consultancy or commissioned opportunities.

The model is designed to align compensation with measurable outcomes while supporting GHRC’s sustainable growth.

Role Purpose

GHRC is seeking a proactive and experienced Grants & Funding Development Manager to support the growth and sustainability of the Centre by identifying, developing, and securing funding opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching available grants, assessing eligibility, preparing applications, and supporting successful funding outcomes aligned with GHRC’s human rights, sustainability, climate justice, governance, and responsible business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research suitable grant and funding opportunities from foundations, governments, international organisations, philanthropic bodies, and other relevant funders.
  • Assess funding opportunities against GHRC’s strategic priorities and recommend suitable applications.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications, including concept notes, expressions of interest, proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop compelling funding narratives that communicate GHRC’s human rights, policy, research, sustainability, and governance impact.
  • Coordinate with GHRC leadership, researchers, and subject matter experts to gather technical inputs and strengthen applications.
  • Support preparation of project budgets, timelines, monitoring frameworks, and other funder requirements.
  • Maintain a funding pipeline, application tracker, and calendar of upcoming opportunities.
  • Monitor application outcomes, support follow-up communications with funders, and maintain accurate records of funding activity.
  • Contribute to GHRC’s long-term funding and resource mobilisation strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, resource mobilisation, or funding development.
  • Demonstrable experience identifying funding opportunities and developing competitive grant applications.
  • Understanding of the NGO, CIC, charity, research, think tank, or social impact funding landscape.
  • Strong proposal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and meet deadlines.
  • Interest or experience in human rights, sustainability, climate justice, governance, international development, or related fields.

Experience with UK, international, foundation, philanthropic, UN, or institutional funding opportunities is highly desirable.

Compensation Structure

This is a flexible, performance-based engagement designed for an individual passionate about supporting the growth of a mission-driven organisation.

The initial engagement will include:

  • Performance-based compensation linked to successful funding outcomes.
  • Recognition and progression opportunities as GHRC’s funding base develops.
